Full name: Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on adapting non-contractual civil liability rules to artificial intelligence (AI Liability Directive)

  • Uniform rules for access to information and alleviation of the burden of proof in relation to damages caused by AI systems
  • Harmonising certain rules for claims outside of the scope of the Product Liability Directive
  • Covers non-contractual liability for any type of damage (covered by national law) caused to any type of victim by any type of AI system
